SuperMicro Servers

We use high performance and reliability SuperMicro servers, using only the highest quality components. New servers are 2 x Quad-Core Processors with SCSI Hard Drives in a RAID 10 array, so if a hard drive fails, the other drives in the array would continue to run normally while we replace the failed drive.

State-of-the-Art Facility

The Facility is housed in a poured concrete building, making it resistant to natural disasters. State of the art security monitoring system include intelligent card access and fingerprint scanners in addition to 24x7 video surveillance. Raised floors push air up through force filtered-air up through server cabinets.

Environmental Controls

Multiple Liebert HVAC systems provide air conditioning and humidification control, maintains a constant temperature of 65°F and a humidity level that does not exceed 55%. Our fire suppression system not only prevents extensive fire damage, it virtually eliminates the potential for collateral damage to delicate equipment from the fire extinguishing agent. An FM200 fire suppression system handles individual instances on the data center floor.

Standby Servers

We keep spares of all server configurations online. If your server were to experience a complete hardware failure (very rare) we have the ability to do a bare-metal restore on a new server using our sophisticated CDP backup software within 1 hour.

Hot-Swap Drives

The drives and drive bays of our servers are all constructed from high-grade aluminum, and rest in a Shock Mounted Drive Cage, which adds to the durability of the drives. The drives are hot swappable, which means if a hard drive were to fail we could take out the drive and insert a new drive and rebuild the RAID array without taking down the server.

Redundant Hot Swap Power Supplies

Each server has redundant hot swap power supplies. If one of these power supplies were to fail, the server would not go down because each power supply is capable of running the server by itself, indefinitely. Meanwhile, alarms would alert our technicians to the problem; they would restore redundancy by swapping out the failed unit with one of our spares and then service the old unit.

Facility Equipment

  • All servers connected to our network via Fast Ethernet (100MB/second).

  • The facility backbone consists of Foundry Gigabit switches, Cisco Routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.

  • Full Backup System on network with daily backups.
