Which Control Panel should I choose?

AmeriHosting offers 3 popular control panels to choose from with our Virtual Private Server offerings. Most of our clients know coming in which control panel they want because either they have already decided through research, or they are currently using a control panel and are satisfied with it.

For clients who don't know which control panel to choose from or are not happy with their current control panel, we will briefly outline recommendations for each control panel based on your needs. Note: Plesk and HSPcomplete integrate into VPS seamlessly because they are owned by SWsoft, who also developed the Virtuozzo VPS technology. Both control panels leave a minimal disk footprint in Virtuozzo because they're based on a single template that runs on the physical node and not in the virtual private server.

1. HSPcomplete allows you to manage your account from a single control panel and single login interface. If you don't resell hosting accounts, we recommend choosing HSPcomplete simply because it's easy-to-use, feature rich and very reliable. We also fully manage nameservers for HSPcomplete users, giving you the option of using your own private nameservers or our anonymous nameservers (ns1.sitenameservers.com & ns2.sitenameservers.com).

2. Plesk is an award-winning mass shared & reseller hosting platform. If you resell web hosting or want domain owners to have their own control panels, Plesk is fast, reliable and feature-rich solution to offer to your clients.

3. cPanel/WHM is probably the most popular in the group. cPanel is a long-time favorite among many hosting companies because it's the oldest control panel and has a feature-rich user interface. Unlike Plesk & HSPcomplete, cPanel is not based on a template, so it will take up a little bit more disk space & resources.
